This knife is another of my personal knives. It is shown wiith Sanbar stag handles. The steel is D-2 harden to 61 on theRockwell scale.The bolsters are stainless steel and engraved by Jim Brandvik. On the right bolster is a banner where Jim engraved my name. That was done after the picture was taken.

 

This knife has the Vine file work on the back spine. The other style of file work that I do is called Bow tie. All of my hand make knives come with file work. The custom knives that I make are working knives, but I think they should have a little flare, so I add file work.

 

All knives are available in a variety of different handle materials.

  

 

Fixed Blade Pocket Knife

This is a small fixed blade knife. The Blade is narrow 5/8 " wide and 3 1/2" long the over all length of the knife is 6 5/8". I offer two different types of sheaths for this knife. The one shown has a clip on the back of the sheath to enable it to clip to your pocket, thus the name Pocket Fixed Blade. This is shown with Sanbar Stag handles and a brass guard. The steel used on this knife is 440C.

 

 

The blade is hardened to 58 on the Rockwell C scale.

Pocket Fixed Blade with Horse bone handles

This Pocket fixed blade is shown with dyed horse bone handles. I dyed the horse in shop. The steel used on this knife is 440C.

  Horse Creek Model

The Horse Creek model is shown without bolsters and honey dyed jigged bone handles. Bolsters can be added to this model. The steel used on this model is CPM154 stainless.

 


 

This knife comes with a custom, tooled, hand sewn hand-made sheath.

 

  

 

Utopia Skinner with D-2 steel

This knife is has a three inch blade. It is shown with dyed Girraffe bone handles and stainless stee bolsters. It also has mosaic pins. The over all length of the knife is 6 7/8 inches. The blade width is 3/4 of an inch. The steel is D-2 harden to 61 on the Rockwell scale.

HONDO  Hunter with Horse Bone Handles 

This popular hunter features a 2 3/4 inch D2 blade. Over all length is 6 1/2".  The handle material is horse bone which I jigged and dyed in shop. THIS THE KNIFE THAT I USED IN 2007 DEER SEASON.

 

This knife may be small but it handles white-tail and wild hog field dressing with ease.

 

This knife comes with a custom, hand-made sheath.

 

  

 

Sabinal Skinner with D-2 steel

This knife is has a three inch blade. It is shown with dyed boxelder bolsters and gray Girraffe bone handles. The steel is D-2 harden to 61 on theRockwell scale.

Sabinal Skinner with jigged bone handles

This has D-2 steel bade of three inches. It is shown with Honey jigged bone handles. Some of my customer prefer knives without bolsters.

 

The blade is hardened to 61 on the Rockwell C scale.

 This knife is the Medina model  Drop Point

The Medina model has a 3 1/2 blade made of D-2 steel

 

The handle material used on this knife is a combination of girraffe bone and Brazilian Rose wood. This knife also comes with stainless steel bolster

 

The blade is hardened to 61 on the Rockwell C scale.

 

All knives are available in a variety of different handle materials. I like working with bone because you never know for sure what colors will surface until I am finished sanding handles. I use alot of Camel, cow,giraffe, and water buffalo bone.

CAMP Verde camp  KNIVES AND  A  SABINAL SKINNER

THE TOP CAMP KNIFE HAS A 7 3/4 INCH BLADE AND A WIDITH OF ABOUT  1 1/2 IN. THIS BLADE WAS HAND FORGED FROM AN OLD FARM EMPLEMENT. THE NEXT CAMP KNIFE BLADE IS 6 1/4 INCH. ALL THREE KNIVES FEATURE MESQUITE BURL HANDLES.

Drop Point Cable Damascus / Box Elder Burl 

This knife is is made with a hand forged cable damascus blade. The blade length is 3 3/4 inches. Overall length is 9". It has a hidden tang and box elder burl handle. I also made the sheath which come with it.

 

The blade is hardened to 58 on the Rockwell C scale.

Damascus Steel Hunter with Stag Handle 

This unique hunter has a 512 layer Damascus steel blade which is 3 3/8 inches.  Overall length is 7 1/2 inches.  This knife has a water buffalo horn spacer and stag handle and stainless steel fixtures.

 

 This knife comes with its own custom sheath in a horizontal configuration which I also make in-shop.

 

The pommel of the knife is ready for custom engraving.

  

 

Large Drop Point Hunter with Stag Handle 

This is a 4 1/2" drop point hunter. The knife is hand forged from O1 tool steel, has hidden tang and stag handle. The knife also comes with custom sheath made by me.

Ranger Bowie

THE FIRST THREE OF THIS KNIFE WAS MADE FOR THE FORMER TEXAS RANGER FOUNDATION IN KERRVILLE TEXAS .

 

The Blade is 7 1/4 Inches long.  The handle is Sanbar stag crown.  The double guard is brass with water buffalo spacer. 

 This knife is pictured the June 2009 issue of Cowboys and Indians magazine.

The blade is hardened to 58 on the Rockwell C scale.
